How It Works
The FeedBackNL Shopify integration connects in under five minutes. Once installed, the widget listens to order events, pulls customer details, and triggers the right feedback form at the right moment — without any manual work on your side.
1. Install the App
Search for FeedBackNL in the Shopify App Store or visit apps.shopify.com/feedbacknl. Click Add App and accept the requested permissions: read orders, read customers, and read products. The app installs into your admin sidebar instantly.
2. Connect Your Store
After installation, FeedBackNL auto-detects your store URL (e.g., debuurtpakketten.myshopify.com). Verify the connection, then choose your preferred language — Dutch or English — and set your timezone to Europe/Amsterdam.
3. Configure Triggers
Decide when feedback is requested. Default settings send a post-purchase survey 48 hours after delivery via the fulfillment_status = success webhook. You can adjust the delay, target specific product tags like premium or new-arrival, or exclude low-value orders under €15.
4. Go Live
Toggle the activation switch in the app dashboard. FeedBackNL injects a lightweight script (<3 KB) into your theme's theme.liquid footer. No code edits required. Test with a draft order to confirm the widget renders correctly on your checkout confirmation page.

Automatic Order Sync
Every fulfilled order is mirrored into FeedBackNL within seconds. Order number, line items, total value, and shipping address are attached to each feedback session so you always know which purchase triggered the response. Sync runs continuously via Shopify's REST API — no exports or CSV uploads.
Customer Data Mapping
Customer name, email, and account tier flow directly from Shopify into the feedback widget. Returning buyers from your VIP customer tag see a dedicated loyalty survey, while first-time purchasers receive a streamlined onboarding questionnaire. All segmentation happens automatically.
Real-Time Feedback Widget

Installation
Follow these steps to get FeedBackNL running on your Shopify store. The entire process takes approximately 5–7 minutes.
Prerequisites
You need a Shopify store on any plan (Basic, Shopify, or Advanced). The integration requires API access to Orders, Customers, and Products. Make sure your theme supports custom script injection in the footer — all Shopify 2.0 themes do by default. If you're using a legacy theme, contact your developer to add a {{ content_for_layout }} hook.
Step-by-Step Setup
Navigate to Apps → App Store → Search "FeedBackNL". Click Add and confirm the permission scopes. Once installed, open the FeedBackNL dashboard from your admin sidebar. Enter your store name, select Dutch (Netherlands) as the primary language, and enable the Post-Purchase Survey module. Save and toggle Active.
Testing Your Integration
Create a draft order in Shopify with a test customer (e.g., marieke.vanbergen@example.nl). Set the fulfillment status to Fulfilled and place a test product in the cart. Visit your store's thank-you page — the FeedBackNL widget should appear within 3 seconds. Submit a test response and verify it shows up in your FeedBackNL dashboard under Responses → Recent.
Troubleshooting
If the widget doesn't appear, check that your theme's theme.liquid isn't blocking third-party scripts via Content Security Policy headers. Disable any ad-blocker extensions during testing. If sync fails, verify your Shopify API credentials in FeedBackNL → Settings → Connection and click Re-authorize.
